Applications in the prescribed format are invited from the citizen of India for recruitment to the vacancy at RRB Ranchi on South Eastern Railway / East Central Railway. The envelope containing the application should be clearly superscribed - ‘Category No.’, ‘Name of the post’, & ‘Community’. A candidate should submit only one application for one category & post.

• ASM : 263 posts , Qualification : Bachelor degree or its equivalent. Diploma in Rail Transport will be additional desirable qualification. Age: 18-33 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 4500-7000
• Section Engineer (C&W, Elect.(Mech./Dsl), Elect. (TRS), Elect. (TRD), Elect., Signal, Tele., P.Way, Works) : 88 posts , Qualification : Degree in respective branch of Engineering., Age: 20-35 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 6500-10500
• Jr. Engineer-II (C&W, Mech.)/(P), Mech, Elect. (Mech./Dsl), (Elect) TRS, (Elect)/TRD, Elect, Signal, Tele, P.Way, Works ) : 198 posts , Qualification : Diploma in respective branch of Engineering., Age: 18-33 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 5000-8000
• Asst. Loco Pilot (Dsl, Elect) : 829 posts , Qualification : Matric plus ITI in specified trades (i.e. Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Mill Wright/Maintenance, Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics, Mechanics, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel) Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist & Refrigration and AC Mechanic) or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Engineering or Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile engineering in liu of ITI/Act Apprentice. Degree in respective branch of Engineering., Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Signal Instrument Maintainer-III: 71 posts, Qualification : Higher Secondary (10+2) with Physics & Mathematics OR Matriculation plus ITI in electrician/electric fitter/wireman & 01 year experience in electric department OR Must be casual Electric Signal Maintainer / electric fitter for 03 years in S&T department. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Wireless Tele Maintainer-III: 63 posts, Qualification : Higher Secondary (10+2) with Physics & Mathematics OR Matriculation plus ITI in Electrical/ Radio/ Wireless/ Telecommunication/ TV Trade & 01 year experience as casual WTM/ TCM in S&T Deptt. OR Must be casual WTM/ TCM for 03 years in S&T department. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Tech-III (Electrician) : 62 posts, Qualification : Course completed Act Apprentices in Electrician or ITI in Electrician Trade. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Tech-III (Fitter) : 222 posts, Qualification : Course completed Act Apprentices in Fitter or ITI in Fitter Trade. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Fitter & Mechanic (Diesel) : 37 posts, Qualification : Course completed Act Apprentices in Fitter or ITI in Fitter Trade. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Electronics Mechanic : 02 posts, Qualification : Course completed Act Apprentices /ITI in Electronics Mechanic Trade. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Welder : 05 posts, Qualification : Course completed Act Apprentices /ITI in Welder Trade. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Painter : 01 post, Qualification : Course completed Act Apprentices /ITI in Painter Trade. Age: 18-30 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 3050-4590
• Craft-Teacher : 01 posts, Qualification: MA in Drawing & Painting/ Fine Arts OR Ba (Hons.) in Art & Art Education OR IInd class Bachelor's Degree with Drg & Painting/ Fine Arts with minimum 2 years full time Diploma OR HS/ intermediate with minimum 4 years full time Diploma in Painting/ Fine Arts or Part-Time Diploma of not leass than 5 years duration., Age: 18-45 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 5500-9000
• Physical Education Teacher : 03 posts, Qualification : Graduate with Diploma in Physical Training Or B.P.Ed.., Age: 18-45 years, Pay Scale : Rs. 5500-9000

Fee : The examination fee for unreserved and OBC candidate is Rs. 40/- (Rs. Forty only)
for posts carrying scales upto Rs. 3050-4590 and Rs. 60/- (Rs. sixty only) for posts carrying higher pay scales. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Ex-servicemen are fully exempted from payment of examination fees. The Examination fee should be paid in the form of Account payee Demand Draft/Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank or IPO from any Post Office in favour of The Member Secretary, RRB/Ranchi and payable at Ranchi.
